Report: Kamaz Russian sales rise 14% in January–March

MOSCOW, Apr 7 (PRIME) -- Russia’s largest truck producer Kamaz has raised its domestic sales by 14% on the year in January–March, and increased its exports by 18% on the year in the period, CEO Sergei Kogogin said late on Wednesday in an interview to Rossiya 24 television channel without disclosing absolute figures.

“We added 14% in Russia and 18% in exports. This does not mean that Kamaz began to work under no crisis conditions, we have just changed the trend. The first quarter has so far ended so that we increased our market share, it amounted to 59.2% in the first quarter. This is not bad,” he said.

In January–March 2015, Kamaz sold 4,400 trucks in Russia, which may translate into the sales of about 5,000 trucks in January-March this year. The company plans to sell 25,000 trucks in Russia and export 7,000 trucks in 2016.
